Compact Voice and OCS: 2014/15 Joint Action Plan

Compact Voice has agreed its latest Joint Action Plan for 2014/15 with Cabinet Office.
This joint action plan sets out the areas where joint working is planned and complements Compact Voice’s operational plan.
Every government department now also has a Compact lead, and the Joint Action Plan this year contains undertakings for them as well, with the aim of raising awareness of, and better embedding, the Compact across national government departments.

| Regular meetings take place between Compact Voice and key department representatives. | Meetings are revised to be a forum for CV to provide departmental attendees with local knowledge and VCS insights, as well as practical sessions on key topics such as meaningful engagement. | Arrange and facilitate at least three meetings with Compact Leads Group from relevant departments, ensuring good representation from all departments, including LIT. | Attend the cross department Compact forum meetings and maintain ongoing engagement with Compact voice as required in between. |

| Promote the principles of the Compact in commissioning and procurement undertaken by government, including new partnerships, structures, and arms-length bodies. | Develop and devise materials of relevance to commissioners and service providers, representing the needs and interests of the voluntary sector to them as appropriate. | Coordinate dialogue between OCS, Compact Voice and relevant departmental Compact Leads to promote the continued relevance of the Compact during commissioning and procurement. |
