Compact Week 2015 theme
The theme for Compact Week 2015 is "Working together in a new commissioning landscape".
We’re encouraging local voluntary organisations to use Compact Week as an opportunity to talk about their engagement with public bodies, including Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), as well as local authorities, and the impact that working together in partnership has had in your local area.
How you can get involved
During Compact Week we want to tell people about what partnership working is achieving across England. We think it’s a great time to encourage new organisations and local commissioning bodies to get on board with their local Compact and sign up to its principles, and to reiterate how valuable a local Compact is for providing a framework for supporting and strengthening existing partnerships. Practical ways you can do this might include:
Host a Compact Week event
An event can be a good way of helping to raise the profile of your local Compact, and create awareness of the benefits of partnership working.
For example, why not host an information session for your PCC, or ask a representative from your CCG to visit your organisation and find out first-hand how you’re addressing local health issues? Our website has a selection of presentations on engaging with ‘new commissioners’ which you can use free of charge.
Put the Compact on the agenda
Create a flyer about your local Compact
Help to raise the profile of your local Compact by creating a flyer which includes details about what your local Compact is, and some of the positive things it has helped to bring about. Place this flyer on your reception desk, pin it to notice boards and hand it out at events.
Write up a case study
Recruit Compact Champions
Compact Champions can help to raise awareness of the Compact and induct new staff, so having one in the key organisations in your local area can be important to the success of your local Compact.
