Yesterday in a debate in the House of Lords about funding to the voluntary and community sector, the Compact was mentioned as a key mechanism to help both the voluntary and community and statutory sectors.
The Localism Act has now been given Royal Assent – meaning it is now law. CLG have also published a plain English Guide to the Act – read more here.
