Third Sector Research Centre report into partnership working published

news in briefThe Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC) has published a new research report called ‘Partnership Working’. The report aimed to gain an understanding of voluntary sector partnership working – both within and between sectors.

The research contains some interesting findings, and the policy implications outlined in the conclusion will be of particular interest to our members.

The report states that “the relationship between third sector compacts and concordats and procurement and commissioning processes needs to be re-thought. Too often the principles of these two policies are at odds.”

Compact Voice is in agreement with this finding in particular: we are currently doing work around better understanding how procurement and Compact principles can complement each other.

We would be keen to hear from anyone who has worked to include procurement processes in Compacts at a local level – please comment below or email us if you wish to get in touch.
