Compact Voice submits response to consultation on DH guidance
Compact Voice has submitted a response to the Department of Health’s draft guidance on developing Health and Wellbeing Board strategies and Joint Strategic Needs Assessments.
In it, we state that we are disappointed that the reference to local Compacts has been weakened from an earlier draft of the document published in January, and recommend that further clarification is made about the role of local Compact groups and agreements.
If any Compact Voice members are intending to submit a response to this consultation, it will remain open until the 28th September, and we would be grateful if you supported the recommendations we make. If you aren’t intending to send your own submission, please consider sending a letter of support for ours. If you would like any guidance or support to do so, please contact us.
Read our response here - we have also included a letter written to Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary. The letter has been signed by Simon Blake, Compact Voice Chair, and includes the support of some of Compact Voice's key board members - including NCVO, Acevo, NAVCA and the Equality and Diversity Forum.
