Angela Smith Apologises for Compact Breach

Angela Smith today called her decision to divert money away from the Campaigning Research Programme and into the Hardship Fund an "isolated breach of the Compact"

She apologised for withdrawing the funding in a non-Compact compliant way but argued that her decision was sound claiming that grassroots organisations were most in need of help.
