NHS Bromley seek Chair for Board of healthcare enterprise
The provider arm of NHS Bromley (providing community health services) is moving towards independent status and governance arrangements, and the establishment of 'Bromley Healthcare'. They are currently looking for an Independent Chair of their shadow Board, who will also be the Founding Chair of a new social enterprise organisation, appointed for an initial period of two years. NHS Bromley and the Appointments Commission are encouraging a wide pool of applications, and would encourage others to circulate this opportunity.

Compact Voice urges Independent Inquiry into Cancelled Campaigning Fund
Compact Voice has called for an independent investigation into the recent decision by the Office of the Third Sector to cancel the Campaign Research Programme, writing a letter to Angela Smith, Minister for the Third Sector.

Compact Voice will be working alongside other partners in the sector to minimise the impact of this decision, and supports calls made to reinstate the funding.
Update: Parliamentary Questions
Following discussions with Compact Voice on the OTS’ decision to abandon funding to the Campaign Research Programme, Tom Levitt MP tabled two written questions, due initially for answer on 25th November. They are:
- 17 Tom Levitt (High Peak): To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how much the Office of the Third Sector originally allocated in its budget to provide grants and funding for the voluntary and community sector for the current financial year; how much of this has so far been allocated; and how much remains for the rest of the financial year.
(301962) - 18 Tom Levitt (High Peak): To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether her decision to divert funding from the Campaigning Research Programme to the Hardship Fund was made in compliance with Compact principles.
(301964)
These questions are intended to address the Sector's concerns about the decision, calling for a statement from the Minister, and identifying issues around funding and grants for voluntary and community sector organisations. To date, one of the two questions has been answered, although we believe the response does not go nearly far enough to address the concerns of the Sector.
Read the questions in the Parliamentary Question Book (dated Monday 23 November)
