Your views and our work

rachel - blgo authorOur Compact Voice Satisfaction Survey 2013 has now closed and we’d like to thank everyone who completed the survey.

It can often feel like we are bombarded by surveys every time we go online so we really appreciate everyone who took the time to answer our questions.

Surveys are a vital tool for all organisations, but especially smaller ones like Compact Voice, because they enable us to reach a wide range of people simply and effectively. Just 5 minutes of your time allowed us to gain a broad understanding of what ideas and opinions are circulating in the sector, and can help us become more responsive to the needs of our members in the process.

This survey is an important starting point for Compact Voice to begin assessing and evaluating our current services, and think about how we can take our work forward this year. I’d like to take this opportunity to share our findings with you.

Firstly we are very pleased that 97% of our respondents rate our services as satisfactory or above, with our website, monthly e-newsletter and publications, briefings and guidance being the most popular. It’s really helpful for us to be able to identify the resources and services our members engage with the most, so we can continue to maintain our high standard and work on areas that may need improvement.

Overall, the survey revealed that the majority of respondents would like to see us engage with Local Health Partnerships in 2013, though this was closely followed by Commissioning and Procurement and Local Funding.

A wide variety of organisations - from local authorities to voluntary groups and infrastructure organisations - responded to our survey and this has allowed us to see what different sectors find useful and what they’d like to see more of.

As an example, respondents from local authorities chose ‘Meaningful Engagement and Consultation’ as the area they’d like us to engage with most in 2013, whereas voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise organisations felt that ‘Local Funding’ was the most important area for future engagement in 2013.

The results from the survey have provided us with some new ideas about areas we are going to engage with and develop further in 2013 so we can be as responsive as possible to the needs of our members.

Once again thank you to everyone who took part and we’ll keep you all updated on our future publications, guidance and good practice case studies.
